Connecting Strap Edge to Nintendo Switch

There are several options for connecting your Nintendo Switch to Woojer Strap Edge. Choose the right option for you, according to your needs and existing hardware.

Important: The audio signal coming out of the Switch is relatively weak, which may cause the sensation level, played on your Strap, to be weak as well. Therefore, the best results are achieved when you use the Switch with TV Mode, making use of its dock set.

Option 1: Connecting Strap Edge to Nintendo Switch (TV Mode, wired)

  1. Open the cover on the back of the Nintendo Switch dock.
  2. Connect one end of an HDMI cable into the bottom terminal, labeled "HDMI OUT".
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to the input port of an HDMI Audio Extractor.
  4. Take a second HDMI cable. Connect one end to the extractor's output port. Connect the other end to your TV.
  5. Make sure the extractor is connected to a power source and turn it on. Set its volume to max (if applicable).
  6. Connect an audio cable to the extractor audio-out port.
  7. Connect the other end of the cable to the Strap's audio-in port.
  8. Connect your headphones to the headphone jack. You can skip this step and use your TV's speakers.
  9. To control the headphones volume level and sensation level, use the Strap's control buttons.

Option 2: Connecting Strap Edge to Nintendo Switch (TV Mode, wireless)

  6. Connect a Bluetooth transmitter to the extractor's audio-out port.
  7. Pair the transmitter with your Strap. Refer to the transmitter's user manual for detailed pairing instructions.
  8. Connect your headphones to the headphone jack. You can skip this step and use your TV's speakers.

Note: If you're using a dual-link transmitter (like the one above), you'll be able to pair both the Strap and Bluetooth headphones, simultaneously.

Option 3: Connecting Strap Edge to your TV (TV Mode)

For this option, you leave the existing Switch TV Mode setup as it is. You then connect your Strap to your TV.

Please refer to this article for detailed instructions on connecting your Strap to a TV (Options 1-3).

Option 4: Connecting Strap Edge to Nintendo Switch (Tabletop Mode/Handheld Mode)

As stated at the top of this article, the audio signal coming out of the Switch is relatively weak, which may cause the sensation level, played on your Strap, to be weak as well. However, if you find the sensation level good for you, you might prefer this type of connection.
