This article will instruct you how to connect Oculus Rift to your Woojer Vest.

Step A: Connecting the Vest to your PC

Option 1: Aux cable connection:

Connect a standard 3.5 mm Aux cable to the Vest. One side connects to your PC audio output and the other side to the Vest’s audio input jack.

Option 2: Bluetooth connection:

  1. Press and hold the Vest's on/off button for 6 seconds. An Orange indicator LED will be blinking for 60 seconds.
  2. Open the Bluetooth menu on your PC and search for “Woojer Vest” on your device list.
  3. Pair the Vest to your PC.

Step B: Directing the headphones sound

You can choose whether to use the Rift's integral headphones or use your own.

Option 1: Using Rift's integral headphones:

Using Rift's integral headphones, requires audio mirroring so that both Rift's headphones and Vest play simultaneously. Follow these steps to get this done:

  1. Set Vest as your default playing device.
  2. Launch the Oculus app from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
  3. Click the gear button in the top-right corner of the window.
  4. Click Settings ==> Devices ==> Rift.

  5. Click Rift headphones below Audio Output in VR.
  6. Click Both (audio mirroring).

Option 2: Using your own headphones:

Using your own headphones requires removing the Rift's integral headphones and then connect your own headphones to the Vest. Finally, you'll need to direct the audio to the headphones. Follow these steps to get this done:

  1. Set Vest as your default playing device.
  2. Find the audio connector screw located on the inside of the main strap next to the on-ear headphones.
  3. Use the audio tool to turn the audio connector screw anticlockwise (to the left).
  4. Keep turning the audio connector screw anticlockwise until the on-ear headphones come out.
  5. Connect your own headphones to the Vest's audio-out jack.
  6. Open the Oculus app on your PC.

  7. Select Devices in the left menu, then click Rift.

  8. Below VR Audio Output, click Rift headphones and select Use Windows Settings.
